After 20 years in the business of insurance and group benefit administration, it was all too apparent the that majority of companies were still using brokers or consultants who were promoting the same , worn-out approach to benefits planning. This consisted of going to the insurance carrier and bringing back trend increases to their customers without any alternatives. Unfortunately, some in the brokerage community have become simply a mouthpiece for the insurance companies, not an advocate for the company they are supposed to be representing.”
